To rent our Cirrus aircraft, renters must have a Private Pilot Certificate or higher, along with a Cirrus Transition Certificate from P6 Aviation, and be “checked out” by a P6 instructor. Insurance requirements include a minimum of 25 hours of flight time in the aircraft model and a checkout with a Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilot (CSIP).
All renters must complete the Cirrus Transition Training to ensure familiarity with the advanced avionics and safety systems of the G6 & G7 SR20, SR22, and SR22T. This training includes both ground and flight instruction, focusing on the Garmin Perspective+, Perspective Touch+, and CAPS safety system.
